Cerita Kampung Istana

“Ady tak setuju lah dengan cara sesetengah orang tua-tua sini cakap pasal masjid lama tu”. Terpegun sekejap aku dengar Ady cakap macam tu. Bukan apa… aku memang tak sangka anak muda berusia 20an yang sekali imbas dengan rambut paras bahu, berseluar jeans lusuh, dengan kemeja-T bercapuk cat sebab baru balik kerja tiba-tiba bagi komen pasal masjid di kampungnya. Aku takjub sebab Ady masih nak ambil tahu pasal cerita masjid lama di kampungnya yang kini sudah tidak lagi digunakan kerana sudah ada masjid baru sebelah sekolah agama. Tambah terkesima aku dengan apa yang Ady tahu berkenaan sejarah masjid lama kampungnya yang dibina pada zaman selepas British keluar dari Tanah Melayu. “Ada orang kampong sini cakap memang eloklah dipindahkan masjid ke tapak baru sebab asal tapak tanah masjid lama tu pun bukan baik sangat.
