Dah lebih lima puluh kali Negara aku sambut merdeka. Banyak taw 50 lebih kali tu… dari 1957. Cumanya aku rasa majoriti kepala otak orang aku, senang cakap Orang Melayu otaknya tak sampai lagi standard otak yang dah merdeka lebih 50 tahun. Katanya merdeka, tapi macam tak banyak beza dengan penjajahan bila kita perhatikan penghayatannya dalam kebanyakan minda orang Melayu. Boleh diterima pengkelasan minda Melayu yang berstrata. Melayu Bandar atau Urban memang ada beza dengan Melayu kampungan. Melayu belajar luar negeri dengan Melayu belajar sekolah atap juga berbeza mindanya. Cuma yang nampak bahalulnya Melayu bila menulis perlembagaan Negara ditetapkannya orang Melayu mesti beragama Islam untuk taraf Melayu Bumiputera tapi Islamnya tak mahu ditatang. Macamana entah formula ketuanan bangsa lebih utama dari kedaulatan agama. Siapa lebih mulia? Bangsa atau agama? Bila merdeka, kita ini sebenarnya merdeka apa? Muslims all over the world can agree that vast proportion of global population towards the end of 20 th century and the beginning of this millennium haven’t been able to favor Islam as a respected peaceful and merciful religion. The fact that there are more Muslim communities across the globe remain unrest is not helping the goodwill of such a loving belief to be perceived as what it deserves. This once most dominant and prominent religion in the whole world is today’s one of the feared brands in some skeptical nations, often associated with negative connotations including extremism, violence and gender oppression. Seimbangnya pandangan manusia bila celik mata hati, minda, naluri, emosi dan jiwa selain sepasang mata di bahagian hadapan muka. Kerap kita dengar ungkapan “pandang sebelah mata” yang membawa maksud acuh tak acuh. Dalam senario dunia hari ini, makin muak rasanya bila saban hari kita disogok berita dan fitnah yang bertali arus tak putus-putus. Baik di persada tempatan mahupun di pelantar dunia, pelbagai cerita bersulam dusta dicanang merata-rata. Media; baik di arus perdana, layar utama mahupun alternatif sahaja seakan dirasuki kegilaan menjaja pembohongan yang nyata. Apa mahunya kita dengan segala yang didedahkan secara menjolok mata? Sampai bila agaknya kita mahu dunia kita terus-terusan diconteng kecamuk berita yang bukan sahaja tidak membina sahsiah dan pemikiran malah semberono mempromosikan moral, etika dan akhlak terhina bahkan terkadang songsang yang bertentangan fitrah manusia. Itu belum dikira benar atau tidaknya berita sebegini yang disebarkan sesuka hati di sana sini.

Azan adalah sejenis bunyian. Bahasa moden bagi bunyian ini kita gelar sebagai 'audio', tuan-tuan. Untuk menentukan samada audio azan yang keluar di corong-corong masjid itu perlahan atau kuat, maka pengerusi dan AJK sesebuah masjid harus mengambil inisiatif untuk buka buku (kalau malas, upah orang), dan baca sedikit sebanyak tentang apa itu audio. Dalam dunia audio, tiga perkara berikut harus difahami betul-betul: i) Volume, ii) Intensity, dan iii) Loudness.

Sensitivity leads to different kinds of reactions positively as much as negatively. One can change behavior towards the better upon being touched and moved by certain work of art. Similarly one can turn to aggression once offended by a trigger of artistic impression. Either way it goes, those who posses creativity to create powerful artistic outputs have the opportunity to gain attention and influence.
